Pink opalescent art glass basket likely manufactured by companies such as Fenton, Stevens & Williams or Franz Welz.  It’s made of cased glass, featuring pink speckled outer layer with white opalescent interior.  The handle is clear, applied glass and has a textured “thorn” design.  The basket has a distinctive ruffled or crimped edge and is generally associated with mid-20^th century production, although similar Victorian styles exist.  Pieces with this design and opalescent finish are often attributed to the Fenton Art Glass Company which produced this style from the 1940’s into the 1990’s sometimes using paper labels instead of a permanent mark.  (There is no makers mark seen)

Condition: Excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repairs.
