McDonnell Douglas F/A-18F Super Hornet Diecast Model
USN NAWDC, NAS Fallon, NV, Top Gun: Maverick Filming 2019
In 2019, the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) painted three F/A-18 Hornets in colorful schemes to celebrate the school's 50th Annivesary. That same year, these aircraft were selected to portray Pete "Maverick" Mitchell's aircraft during fiming of the movie "Top Gun: Maverick". Two of the aircraft were single-seat F/A-18E's and these were used to film most of the exterior shots of flying sequences. The remaining aircraft was a two-seat F/A-18F and this was used to film interior cockpit shots with Tom Cruise in the backseat.
The model had been kept always in the BOX and comes with its stand so as to present it either static or in fly position. The approximate dimensions of the model are (LxW) : 10in x 7.5in or 25.4cm x 19cm
It is completely unopened and NEVER displayed (not even for photographs).
The pictures at the listing come from manufacturer's libraries. You will get a factory sealed model.
