Bonnie (Betts) Staffel - Class of 1939

(1921 - 2020)

Bonnie (Betts) Staffel is an award-winning ceramic artist who has her work on

exhibit in galleries across northern Michigan. Her home studio is in Charlevoix,

Michigan where she continues to create her beautiful, signature, stoneware

pieces. After high school, Bonnie studied commercial and fine art in Houston,

Texas and at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. Over the years, she has

been a resident potter and teacher in the United States and abroad. She

has published videos about her craft and is active in sharing her knowledge

with other potters worldwide through teaching arts & crafts classes.
