The Hummingbird, a legendary model that shines brightly in Gibson's history, has been loved by many artists since its birth in 1960, thanks to its classic appearance and rich sound. The Hummingbird Special was created to inherit that traditional charm while also meeting modern needs.

This model is meticulously handcrafted by skilled luthiers at the prestigious Montana factory. The satin-finished sunburst exudes understated elegance, creating a refined style that sets it apart from the traditional Hummingbird Standard.

While maintaining the traditional square-shoulder body design, it adopts a slightly shallower "concert depth" design. This provides exceptional playability and delivers a powerful low-end that won't get lost in a mix. The classic Sitka spruce and mahogany wood combination, combined with scalloped X-bracing, achieves a warm, balanced tone and the core resonance characteristic of Gibson. This guitar features the renowned L.R. Baggs Element Bronze pickup, known for its natural and highly sensitive sound. Intuitive volume control is available within the soundhole. Furthermore, it comes with a premium softshell case, making it a ready-to-use model ready for the stage.
