Panel belts of this style were popular during the Art Deco Era, then again in the 60's boho leisure hostess gown and kaftan days, then again in the 90's when Chanel and Dior popularized them on the runway. Most often crafted in Czechoslovakia and West Germany, this one is not signed that I can find so I am classifying it as vintage costume, probably West Germany. It appears to be brightly colored gold washed over brass with age patinated brass connector rings. It is appropriate to the estate I bought it from that was primarily MCM era for the fashions and costume jewelry of the previous owner's collection.
It's a look that has endured with on-again, off-again fashion trends for 80 years or more!
Condition: Good vintage condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. Clasp is secure and all stones and pearls are intact.
