Beautiful antique violin labeled:

“Robert Glier, Manufacturer, Cincinnati, 1896”

Likely a late 19th / early 20th century European workshop violin, possibly German or French trade manufacture imported through Cincinnati.

This instrument shows genuine age, attractive flame maple back and ribs, warm amber-brown varnish, and honest wear from long-term use. Interior handwritten repair inscription reads:

“Réparé par Roger Fortin, Waterloo, 1984”

indicating documented historical repair work in Québec.

The violin is a full-size (4/4) instrument.
