This listing is a single card from a late-Nineteenth Century W.Duke, Sons & Co.  set. Issued in the company's cigarette product, this "Histories of Generalsseries has been assigned the ACC designation N78. The image shown on the card is that of  "Gen. John B. Hood".

As viewed in Scan #1, the front cover of this mini-booklet card is in moderately-circulated condition with evidence of wear and age-soiling. The surface is crease-free, but quite wrinkled. Edge wear is light. Three of the corners show mild rounding, but the lower, right corner is more damaged. The image is well-centered. Both covers and the entire contents are complete and fully attached to the single binding staple.

Scan # 2 provides a sample of the inner contents by which to assess both the level of age-toning present, as well as an example of the degree to which oxidation has stained some, if not all, of the pages. Although this oxidation factor is a visual annoyance, it has not interfered with the printed text. Splitting is present at the lower half of the spine, but very faint traces of oxidation are seen at the staple.

Scan #3 shows the reverse side which is complete but with staining and corner rounding. Other condition factors are comparable to those present on the front side that include a trace of the oxidation at the right side. This card meets the accepted measurement standard for N78 tobacco cards.

Please review the scans. Questions emailed to me will be answered in a prompt and accurate manner.
