An antique Chinese carved cinnabar lacquer plate featuring a finely detailed landscape scene with figures, pavilions, mountains, and traditional scrollwork around the border. The carving is deep and well‑executed, showing the layered lacquer technique typical of older cinnabar work. The back includes a Qianlong mark (not a guarantee of period), commonly used on later decorative pieces.This plate has significant damage, including a large break and missing lacquer areas. It is being sold as found, ideal for restoration, study, or display as a decorative fragment. Despite the condition, the carving quality remains impressive, and the piece still shows its original artistry.
