The publication discusses both military and civilian honors, including Virtuti Militari, the Order of the White Eagle, the Cross of Valour and other important distinctions of the Second Polish Republic.

The book also examines decorations awarded by the Polish authorities in exile between 1939 and 1992, presenting the political and historical background of these honors together with rare archival material, historical documents and museum-quality illustrations.
