A beautiful antique hand-painted French porcelain fish plate from Limoges, France, bearing two authentic marks: a red "AKCD Limoges France" whiteware mark for Alfred Klingenberg & Charles Dwenger, and a green "Limoges France" decorator mark — a combination used c. 1900–1910.
The Decoration: A single large fish — naturalistically rendered in brown, grey, and russet tones — swims through atmospheric water shading from warm peach to cool teal. Pink floral sprigs and aquatic grasses add botanical detail. The scalloped rim bears heavy applied gold with a gilded rope/bead design at the edge. The painting is accomplished and confident, consistent with professional Limoges atelier work of the period. An artist signature appears at lower left of the decoration, appears to read "Dubois"
