While there is no lead in it to test at this time the entire piece is in very good condition, turns smoothly and even the eraser appears to be the original. The clip has the slightest sign of age in terms of mild tarnish.

A most striking and well constructed pencil. I think this will require a somewhat fine, small diameter lead. At just a smidge less than 5” it feels great, balanced in the hand.
