Pioneer CD-SVW-SOS.001

VW T6.1 eCall Retention Module for MIB2 & MIB3 Systems

Key Features

  • Designed for Volkswagen vehicles with factory eCall system
  • Compatible with MIB, MIB2 and MIB3 head units
  • Retains OEM emergency SOS/eCall functionality
  • Allows installation of aftermarket head units
  • Maintains emergency call capability after OEM radio removal
  • Uses factory backup speaker for emergency communication
  • Ideal for Pioneer aftermarket multimedia upgrades
  • Reliable and vehicle-specific integration solution

OEM eCall System Retention

The Pioneer CD-SVW-SOS.001 is designed to retain the original Volkswagen emergency eCall/SOS functionality when replacing the factory MIB, MIB2 or MIB3 head unit with an aftermarket multimedia system.

In Volkswagen vehicles equipped with eCall technology, the emergency system relies on communication with the original head unit. When the OEM radio is removed, important emergency call functions may no longer operate correctly. This interface preserves full system functionality after installation of a compatible aftermarket head unit.

Safe & Reliable Integration

The module works with the vehicle’s existing eCall hardware and backup speaker system, ensuring emergency communication remains available even after the factory radio has been removed.

It is an ideal solution for professional installations where retaining factory safety systems is important while upgrading to a modern Pioneer multimedia receiver.
