Sanghuang (Mulberry Yellow) is a rare fungus that grows on old mulberry trees. Highly prized for its potent health benefits and scarcity, it is often referred to as "Forest Gold."
Premium Sanghuang must be authentically harvested from mulberry trees 桑樹. It should be hard in texture with distinct growth rings. The top surface should be dark brown, while the rim and underside display a vibrant, golden-yellow hue, accompanied by a natural woody aroma.
How to serve?
Take about 15 grams of sliced Sanghuang and add 1000cc of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Strain and enjoy the amber-colored tea. The pieces can be re-brewed 2 to 3 times.
Storage Conditions:
Sanghuang is highly sensitive to moisture. It must be thoroughly dried and stored in an airtight container or vacuum bag. Keep it in a cool, dry place for daily use, or freeze it for long-term preservation to prevent mold or insects.
