Description
Gibson Warren Haynes Les Paul Standard #229740172 [4.56kg]
We have received a signature Les Paul from Warren Haynes, a guitarist known for his work with his own band, The Allman Brothers Band, and numerous other sessions.
As he himself calls himself a "Gibson Man," Warren Haynes is known as a musician who uses a variety of Gibson guitars.
Among them, he frequently uses Les Pauls, and this particular guitar is packed with his personal touches and preferences.
We quote his preferences from his official website below.
* Mahogany body, plain maple top, 60s cherry finish (same color as Warren's ES-335)
* Mahogany neck with a thick 50s Vintage profile, similar to Warren's preferred Les Paul neck
* Rosewood fingerboard, acrylic dish inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets
* Equipped with two P-90 DC pickups, which retain all the acoustic characteristics of traditional P-90s while also reducing noise
* Features a 15 dB clean booster operated by a mini toggle switch on the control section.
Despite incorporating so many meticulous details, the guitar's appearance is remarkably similar to a classic Les Paul Model, truly embodying his love for Gibson.
Among its features, the P-90 DC pickup and +15dB clean booster are particularly unique. The P-90 DC pickup maintains the classic P-90 sound and appearance while employing neodymium magnets for hum cancellation, making it highly resistant to noise even at high gain.
A recent example of this pickup being standard on Gibson guitars is the Les Paul Junior signature model for Green Day vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong.
The +15dB clean booster is positioned alongside the control knobs to prevent accidental activation, and the battery cover is located on the control panel on the back of the body, eliminating the need for a screwdriver for battery replacement—a remarkably convenient design.
The sound itself is that of a completely neutral and straightforward booster; it's tuned so that turning it on doesn't result in unnecessarily boomy bass or harsh treble.
While the general specifications of this instrument are similar to a Les Paul Standard '50s P-90, this particular guitar boasts a brighter and clearer sound character, with particularly impressive resonance in the middle positions (around the 5th to 9th frets).
Combined with the high-power P-90 characteristics, it offers long sustain in the higher positions, making it a perfect match for blues/rock, much like Warren Haynes himself, while also delivering a superb sound that stands out in today's pop scene where a more modern, high-fidelity sound is demanded!
The Sixties Cherry finish, inherited from the ES-335 and rarely used on Les Pauls, and the very dark rosewood fingerboard are also attractive features.
Due to some paint damage on the headstock, it is being offered at a special price.
This is a highly recommended guitar not only for Warren Haynes fans, but also for anyone looking for a P-90 Les Paul with a great sound.
Don't miss this great opportunity!
