A single term designates the set of population Guéré and Wobé, the Wè, Wèon, Wènion which means "men who forgive easily".
Neither the term Guéré nor the term Wobé existed in traditional society.
They were created by the colonial administration.
The Guéré and Wobé populations therefore constitute only one and the same ethnicity, the Wè ethnic group.
