Mot to May 2027

I bought this car in 2021 as I wanted a project. I own a bodyshop so all the work has been carried out myself other than replacing the timing belt and clutch. 

All the following work was carried out between February and June 2021 and has done 1100 miles since. The car has been dry stored since and still looks tip top. 

Front chassis leg sections replaced, very common issue on mx5s.

New front wings.

New outer rear arches and filler panels.

Some small floor repairs.

Boot floor corner repairs.

Inner sills were good.

Full respray including inside panels and shuts.

Windscreen removed and refitted for respray.

Front subframe removed, blasted and painted.

Replacement front callipers by previous owner.

New discs, pads, flexies, brake fluid, power steering fluid, spark plugs, oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter. 

Timing belt and water pump replaced.

New crank sensor.

2 new rear shock absorbers.

New springs all round.

New track rod ends.

New nearside front ABS sensor. 

New rear ARB bushes.

New alternator and belt by previous owner.

New Battery.

New power steering belt.

New radiator and coolant.

New cam cover gasket.

Stainless manifold, centre pipe and back box.

New gearbox and diff oil.

New bumper fittings.

New led boot lights.

Led interior light and clear cover.

Original Enkei wheels refurbished. 

Headlights restored.

New horns.

Silicone hoses with new clips.

Various brackets etc blasted and painted.

New timing belt covers and bolts.

New drop glass weatherstrips.

New front and rear Mazda badges.

New BAS vinyl hood.

New back box heat shield.

Seat belts re webbed in matching grey.

New exedy clutch kit (doesn’t judder like most mx5s)

A vapour blasted cam cover is included that I haven’t got around to fitting. A spare steering wheel as well. The car has a smaller stick on front number plate currently fitted but the original is included and can be refitted if required. 

A lot of time and money has gone into this but I don’t have time to use it so it is time for someone else to enjoy it. 

One thing that lets the car down is the rear subframe as noted on the mot history. I have one that has been blasted and painted with all 4 arms that can go with the car. 

The car drives good, has the desirable Torsen limited slip diff and stronger 5 speed gearbox. It has 4 matching tyres (the offside front has just been replaced after an mot advisory)

I won’t get anywhere near what I have spent on it but the asking price is £3750, open to reasonable offers.
