Here’s a vintage spelter horse figure in good condition. It measures 13 inches in length and stands slightly over 10 inches tall to the top of its ears. While there are many similar horse figures available, I couldn’t find any that feature a bedroll, lariat, rifle, and most notably, a small pouch labeled “US MAIL” . Although I’ve never seen a rifle carried on a steed in such a manner, I can give the artist some license. I'm not sure where this horse was made but I think he is decidedly American. As mentioned earlier, the condition is good. It’s free of cracks, dents, or repairs. The metal appears slightly thin at the bottom of the lariat, but beyond that, there are no visible issues.
