WE HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS MAKER. WE DID SOME READING AND FOUND THE FOLLOWING:
"The Ponte was made for Charlie Ponte, who had a wonderful music store in NYC on "music row" -- 46th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue. He finagled the concession to supply all the woodwind instruments for the band for the New York World's Fair and had an Italian company -- probably Orsi -- make stencils in all sizes with his name on them. "
