A superb cast solid sterling silver miniature figure. It is hallmarked with Italian marks used from 1968 and the 925 standard mark. It has been superbly modelled being cast in solid sterling silver in the form of a golfer along with golfing clubs and ball all mounted onto a wooden base. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The golfer measures approx. 3.5 inches (8.8cm) tall to the top of the club and the wooden base measures 3.25 inches (8.2cm) long by 2.5 inches (6.4cm) wide the whole piece including the base weights and weighs 146 grams (including the plinth). The golfer needs gluing back on but fortunately this allows me to weigh it, it alone weighs 79 grams so there must be in 100+ grams of sterling silver in the piece. A superb item.
