The Yeti is a prominent cryptozoological book written by British author and journalist Odette Tchernine, first published in London by Neville Spearman on 1 January 1970.

The book focuses on the historical evidence, sightings, and scientific investigations surrounding the Abominable Snowman (Yeti) and Sasquatch.

The work focusses on Russian expeditions manned by scientists who were investigating the creature.
Across its 184 pages, it aggregates lesser-known Soviet and Central Asian reports alongside Himalayan accounts, complete with black-and-white photographs.

Odette Tchernine was a multifaceted writer, poet, and socialite. Between the 1950s and 1970s, she built a formidable reputation as one of Britain's most dedicated "monster hunters".

This original 1970 first edition is a nice, tight clean copy in good condition overall . The book has its original dust wrapper which over the last 50+ years has succumbed to some slight fading / shelfwear and is now protected by a clear, removable plastic cover (see photos). As I have endeavoured to show in the photos, this ‘imperfection’ is minimal and does not mar the quality and desirability of this rare, collectible classic.
