Beautiful antique Chinese Canton-style blue and white porcelain lidded vegetable dish or serving bowl featuring detailed hand painted landscape scenes in rich cobalt blue. The decoration includes traditional pagodas, trees, mountains, and waterside scenery in the classic Chinese style, with hand painted details extending across the lid, interior, and all exterior sides.

This piece has a wonderfully elegant scalloped form with a fitted domed lid and matching porcelain finial handle. The hand painted decoration and asymmetrical brushwork give it the authentic character collectors look for in older Chinese porcelain.

Based on the form, hand painted decoration, glaze, and unmarked base, I would estimate this piece dates to the late 19th to early 20th century, approximately 1880s–1920s. It has the age, construction, and wear patterns consistent with antique Chinese export porcelain rather than a modern reproduction.

Condition is very good for its age. There are scattered glaze chips and rim wear, primarily along the outer edges, along with general antique surface wear consistent with age and use. I do not see any signs of repairs or restoration, including on the lid finial. The glaze remains bright, glossy, and smooth with strong visual appeal.

At approximately 2 lbs, it has a substantial feel and excellent display presence for its size.
