Up for your consideration is this 19th century folk art country wall box. It has a simple tombstone back with a hanger hole. The front of the box is canted forward and has three small circular holes that were simply added for decorative purposes. The box is secured with small round head nails throughout. The blue applied paint is done like many red painted early wood items in a lighter wash surface. It is in very good condition with as expected wear. It measures 10 1/2" high x 5 5/8" wide x 3" deep.
