This item is an Atlas N Gauge 1:160 Scale SOU Southern Railway EMD GP-38 High Hood Diesel Locomotive, 49841, in the original box with parts diagram and Rapido style couplers. Engine was made in China in 2001, carries cab number 2815, and has AccuMate knuckle couplers. Engine is currently standard DC operation, but is DCC ready. Engine has been run, and in short, back and forth test run, engine ran perfectly - very quiet and smooth.  Directional lighting works as shown, with condition as photographed. Engine has sat in its box for a while, so could use a thorough lube job and cleaning. Compatible with all N gauge brands: MTL, Kato, Athearn, Bachmann, Walthers, Deluxe Innovations, Buford Shops.
