I think everyone can relate to love and longing, which many of her songs are emblematic of. Whether with Fleetwood Mac or on her own, she is beloved! She started out being in Fleetwood Mac with her high school love Lindsey Buckingham. The were one of the best selling bands of all time and won numerous Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nicks was also inducted as a solo artist, as well as winning Grammy's and American Music Awards.

Nicks was named one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time by Rolling Stone. She is the only woman to have been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  She has garnered eight Grammy Award nominations and two American Music Award nominations as a solo artist.

She has a distinctive voice and a mystical stage persona; she has become an adjective too; " that dress is very Stevie Nicks"

Nicks has started a charity foundation titled "Stevie Nicks' Band of Soldiers" which is used for the benefit of wounded military personnel.

In late 2004, Nicks began visiting Army and Navy medical centers in Washington, D.C. While visiting wounded service men and women, she became determined to find an object she could leave with the soldiers that would raise their spirits, motivate, and give them something to look forward to each day. She eventually decided to purchase hundreds of iPod Nanos, load them with music, artists, and playlists which she would hand select, and autograph.

This comes from a smoke free home.I do however, have a dog:)
