Evening Dress w/Bolero: Sleeveless princess seam/panned dress. Bodice is nipped in at waist with panels that flare out at hip to provide a full traditional swing dress. The short bolero jacket is 5 button fronts with matching princess seams and set in sleeves. Can be worn under or on top of dress.

“New Style” mail‑order sewing patterns were a mid‑20th‑century mail‑order pattern brand sold through newspapers and magazines, similar to other mail‑order lines like Marian Martin, Anne Adams, and Alice Brooks. They offered simple, fashionable home‑sewing patterns shipped directly to customers. While major sources document the broader history of mail‑order patterns, specific archival references to the New Style brand are scarce; however, they fit clearly into the same ecosystem of U.S. mail‑order pattern companies that flourished from the 1930s–1970s.

I am retiring from my costume/wedding/clothing tailor business, and because of this I will be selling my thousands and thousands of patterns, sewing/Costume books, equipment, supplies, pamphlets etc.
