Original Vintage Chronograph Movement Caliber LANDERON 51 with Skiros Dial, Running, but needing Restoration and Overhaul (please check description and photographs for details). Made in Switzerland. Circa 1950’s
Movement: Manual (hand-winding) chronograph. Chronometer. Caliber Landeron 51. 17 jewels. Index regulator. Screw balance. Flat hairspring. No visible signs on back, but Landeron 51 engraved hallmark on front.
Comes with gilt Crown (soldered to the Winding Stem), and gilt 2 and 4 o’clock chronograph Buttons
Dial: Matte silver (factory original). Applied gilt Arabic hour numerals. Outer minute/seconds divisions. Outermost Tachymeter scale. Two subsidiary dials: Constant seconds at 9, and 30-Minutes Register at 3 o’clock. Signed “Skiros, Chronographe Suisse, Antimagnetic, 17 Jewels, Swiss”.
Dimension: Movement: 31.5 millimeters diameter. Dial: 34 millimeters diameter. Total Thickness: 7 millimeters.
Condition: Movement: Running, but it was just tested, not overhauled. Good overall cosmetic condition, showing just some minor aged metal on plates, bridges and levers. Balance wheel moves smoothly and chrono buttons start, stop, and reset, but IMPORTANT: the Minute-Recording Jumper Spring is broken. Dial: Mostly readable (just some faded graphics on Tachymeter scale), and showing aged patina on background (please check the larger photographs and video for details).
