You are looking at an older 1960's era Calrad "boomerang" cast iron desk stand based on the more common Atlas DS-14 model desk stand and perfect for just about any older vintage or modern microphone. The stand has a more aggressive design and makes for a very stable platform. It has the 3 inch chrome riser and will technically work with any screw on mic or mi c clip you have.

 Atlas came out with the DS-14 model in the late 1950's or early 60's and it was an instant success. It had a cast iron base and Star Trek vibes. It didn't take long for Astatic and Calrad to follow suit making their own versions and interestingly enough the Astatic and Calrad models were superior designs having a much nicer finish.

 I don't know the model number of this Calrad version but as you can see it's quite nice having a minimum of cosmetic wear. The paint is original and I just had to applies 3 new felt pads as the original felt pads were long gone.

 You'll notice that there are two thumb screws on the top of the chrome riser. One is original but it's too wide to accept many microphones so I'm including the smaller diameter thumbscrew so that it's not an issue.

 This mic stand is great for small, medium and most larger mics. I haven't have one of these Calrad stands to offer in over a year now and they are getting harder to find. Especially one this nice.
