Presented here is the classic Cartier Tank Francaise, especially popular with the business community due to its clean lines, simplicity and instantly recognisable design. This is the highly sought after midsize variant which presents with a larger case, this example also has a beautiful diamond bezel which adds another layer of opulence to the classic Swiss watch.
Drawing influence from the classical square shapes of traditional French architecture, the Cartier Tank Francaise was an immediate success when first launched in the 90's. Just as contemporary 25 years later, Cartier believe in evolution rather than revolution in this tried and tested design.
On the wrist it is unmistakably Cartier due to the distinctive integrated bracelet, Roman Numeral hour markers and curved case. This piece in particular has an extra special touch; the beautiful diamond bezel which adds so much life, the stones dance in the light. At 25mm it is the contemporary female size, not white a gents watch but larger than the traditional women's size. This is discernible from the date window at 3 O'Clock, you can see how it works on a male 6.5 inch wrist in the images - so it could be unisex. Thanks to the larger size, the stones in the bezel are larger than you'd see in the smaller 20mm examples. This piece is fitted with a quartz movement which is easy to maintain, it doesn’t need winding or setting, it can be picked up out of the safe and worn without any fuss. The bracelet is supremely comfortable, and there is a scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass for added peace of mind.
As for the condition, it is excellent. There are signs of wear commensurate with extremely gentle use but the photographs speak for themselves. On the wrist it looks absolutely beautiful, the bracelet has the matte & highly finished contrasting finishes while the diamonds are the eye-catching centrepiece of this gorgeous Tank. This Cartier has just been routinely serviced and all functions are working perfectly. I have checked the timekeeping over 24 hours, and it is excellent, the bracelet is nice and tight while the clasp fastens securely.
Along with the watch itself comes a Cartier pouch, a certificate showing the serial has a clean history against lost and stolen registries and an invoice for your purchase.
