A charming glazed stoneware cheese or butter dish and domed cover displaying typical Torquay pottery hand painted hand painted decorations including cottage, and a motto 'Dont worry It may never happen' on a cream background with brown and blue bands, a terracotta colour handle and interior. Made during the first half of the 20th century in Devon, England, by the Torquay Watcombe pottery, with makers mark underneath.
Good antique condition, no chips, no cracks, nor any repairs, expected light signs of age and wear including all over crazing, possibly dish and dome are a marriage of convenience and did not start life together, please check photos as they form part of item's description.
Approximately 12cm tall to top of handle, dome diameter 14cm, dish diameter 18cm, and weighs a total of 650g.
