A fantastic single from Los Yaki on the Capitol Discos label featuring vocalist Bonny. The A-side Barrio Pobre is a Spanish language adaptation of the Johnny Rivers and Lou Adler hit Poor Side of Town with arrangement by Jose Antonio Zavala and Coros Klainner. The B-side Teresa written by Johnny Alex and Alfredo Gil Jr. is an original composition. Los Yaki were part of the vibrant 1960s and 1970s Mexican rock and pop scene and this Capitol Discos pressing produced by Alfredo M. Gil is a great collectible for fans of Latin rock and Mexican pop.
