British Army MTP Windproof Smock and why you need it

This is a standard British Army windproof jacket, which is used as an outer layer in the PCS system. Not commercial and not a replica, but a contract military uniform designed for real field wear.

The Windproof Smock was created as a multifunctional off-duty jacket - when you need to carry a lot of equipment, but at the same time remain mobile and not shine in thermal imagers.

For what conditions is the MTP Windproof Smock suitable

This jacket is taken for:

working in cool and windy conditions (from -5°C to +15°C);

static positions and observation (when you have to stand/sit for a long time);

patrolling and exits (when you carry a lot of things);

autumn-spring-winter (with proper layering).

The main plus for which it is appreciated - you wear the BC on yourself, and not climb into a backpack under fire.

Design and features

Dense fabric 50/50 polyester/cotton — the wind doesn't blow through at all, and you don't sweat like you're in cellophane

10 pockets — 4 large chest pockets (stores fit in), 2 on the sleeves, 2 internal pockets with fleece for the hands, 2 hidden ones

Underarm ventilation — open when moving, close when in position. You can adjust the temperature in a second

Hood under the helmet with wire — shape it as you need so that it doesn't get in the way or block your view

Reinforcements on the shoulders and elbows — they won't rub off from armor and a backpack

Even worn jackets often continue to function normally — the model has good durability if used for its intended purpose.
