Vintage Lowball Set of 4 Winning Driver's Glass for Indianapolis 500, years 1963 and 1966 - Cocktail Bar Entertaining

Driver Parnelli Jones won the 1963 race, and Graham Hill won the 1966 race.  There are 3 of the 1966 Hill glasses in this lot, and 1 of the 1963 Parnelli Jones glasses.  I'm not sure when Libby glass started production on these, but it must have been sometime Mid-Century early 1960's when these annual edition glasses were begun.  These were most likely glasses that cocktails were served in for patrons up in the club.

Each glass features the old school race tire wings emblem and track owner Tony Hulman's signature.  The back features a list of every race winner starting with the inaugural 1911 race. The race was held every year after that with the exception of 1942 thru 1945 when America's involvement with WWII and a ban on auto racing interrupted the annual races.

No chips or cracks and the painted lists are very legible.  There is a decent remainder of the gold painted rims left - some spotty wear in it, but not unusual for glasses that are 55-60 years old and they still display nice.
