This 'Fisherman' bookbinding brass hand tool is a unique and traditional tool used for gold finishing on books - for books on Fly Fishing me thinks.

The tool has a detailed design and is somewhat worn due to age, but you can still get a good impression with gold leaf or foil.

There is damage to the wooden handle (see photos), but that is easily replaced.

A lovely example of a vintage decorative bookbinding finishing tool.
