Design Details
The Symbol: The central silver silhouette represents one of the ancient Nazca Lines geoglyphs found in the Nazca Desert of southern Peru. This long-necked bird figure is historically referred to as the Alcatraz, a giant heron, or a pelican.
The Background: The colorful, textured background behind the glass or resin dome typically incorporates traditional Peruvian woven textile fabric or dyed organic materials.
The Framing: It is encased in a round 925 sterling silver Peruvian silver bezel frame equipped with a hanging bail.

I have owned this pendant for nearly 50 years. It was given to me by a Peruvian friend whose family lived in Lima. She gave it to me as a present after visiting her family in Peru back in the 1970s
The silver has tarnished over time. I've not cleaned it as I'll leave that decision to the buyer.
