Today I am offering this fabulous vintage oversized cup and saucer set by Johnson Brothers in the Friendly Village pattern.

They are authentically vintage items, most likely from the 1980s or 90s.

They are the iconic transferware with the English countryside landscape. This image is "The Well". It prominently features a quaint rustic cabin as well.

This is the hard-to-find 2-piece jumbo cup and saucer set.

Each piece measures approximately as follows:

Cup

• 4½" across the top opening
• 3⅛" high
• 5½" across including the handle

Saucer

• 6⅞" wide

The printed backstamp on the underside of the saucer reads as follows:

The cup is embossed in circular lettering on the underside:

MADE IN ENGLAND

Both pieces have red hash marks indicating the hand coloring artist.

They are in excellent vintage pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, fading, or dullness. There are no stains and no loss of color.

There are no scratches or utensil marks.

The colors are deep and vivid.

They really look like they were never used.

There is a miniscule glaze pop on the saucer rim. It's so tiny it's barely worth mentioning, but I strive to be 100% accurate and transparent.

It's not a chip or even a fleabite.

It's an itty bitty bump you can feel. It's slightly raised, not indented.
