Published in 1984 by Hero Games.
Designers: Aaron Allston, Steve Peterson, and Michael A. Stackpole.
Genre / Setting: Pulp-adventure set in the 1920s and 1930s. Think of classic pulp magazine heroes (e.g. Doc Savage, The Shadow). The setting includes crime, mystery, exploration, the supernatural, espionage, weird sciences.
Game System
Uses the Hero System rules (or more precisely, the same system that powers Champions and Espionage!) adapted to a pulp era rather than superheroes.
Players build characters with “Talents” (instead of super-powers) more in line with pulp fiction.
It supports a mix of “mundane” pulp adventure as well as supernatural / weird / horror themes.
