Up for sale is a 2024 Gibson Custom Shop ’58 Les Paul Standard TRG Stinger Series Made 2 Measure (M2M) in Ebony, complete with its original hard-shell case, certificate of authenticity, and all original paperwork.

This is a very cool and highly sought-after collaboration between Gibson Custom Shop and Thunder Road Guitars. Built on the foundation of a ’58 Les Paul Standard reissue, this TRG Stinger model takes things in a more stripped-down, aggressive direction with a single bridge pickup and minimalist control layout. Finished in Ebony with a white stinger on the back of the headstock and VOS treatment, it has a killer vintage-meets-hot-rod aesthetic.

These were produced in very limited numbers and are already difficult to find on the secondary market—especially in this ultra-lightweight example.

Condition

This guitar is in excellent condition (9/10).

It shows only light surface scratches from minimal use. Please review all photos carefully for the most accurate representation of condition.

Everything is 100% original with no cracks, breaks, or structural issues. The neck is straight, the frets are in excellent condition with no noticeable wear, and the guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. It has also been recently professionally set up and is ready to go.

Includes the original Gibson Custom Shop hard-shell case, COA, and all original paperwork.

The VOS Ebony finish paired with the white stinger gives it a unique visual identity that stands apart from traditional Les Paul reissues, while still retaining the core feel and build quality of a true Custom Shop R8.

This guitar is an absolute powerhouse. The Super Distortion delivers thick mids, strong output, and incredible sustain—perfect for rock, hard rock, and anything that benefits from a more aggressive voice.

At just 7 lbs 10 oz, this is an exceptionally lightweight Les Paul, making it comfortable for long playing sessions while still retaining excellent resonance and punch.

The chunky ’58 neck profile feels substantial and authentic, offering that classic vintage Gibson feel in the hand.
