This is a Very FINE Antique 1866 Stenciled Burl Sewing Box FOLK ART DOCUMENT BOX. This is a very nice FOLK ART piece. That is a hand made sewing chest or BOX.

It has a writing in paint in the bottom. label that says:

THE BOX ITSELF IS ALL ORIGINAL. IT STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL HINGES and but MISSING THE Key.

The finish shows patina but has been cleaned and waxed. There is some minor edge and rim wear as shown in the photos and are added for complete condition disclosure (see photos).

The size is wonderful, it measures 10” x 7” x near 5.5” tall
