MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL (2019)

A fantasy adventure sequel to the 2014 film Maleficent, continuing the story of the dark fairy Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) and her goddaughter, Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning), now Queen of the Moors.  Five years after the death of King Stefan, Aurora prepares to marry Prince Phillip (Harris Dickinson), sparking hopes of peace between the human kingdom of Ulstead and the magical realm of the Moors. However, Aurora’s future mother-in-law, Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer), harbors deep resentment toward fairies and orchestrates a plot to destroy them.  When Maleficent attends a family dinner at Ulstead Castle, Ingrith provokes her with taunts about her past, leading to a confrontation that culminates in King John appearing to be cursed—though it was actually Ingrith who used a cursed spindle to harm him.
