Vintage Coffee Table Rosewood Veneer Modernist Platform Table Mid Century MCM
Description
A large vintage low coffee table in a clean modernist platform form, with a wide rectangular top and slab-style end supports. It offers a bold architectural look and works well as a central coffee table, display surface, or statement piece in a lounge setting.
Constructed with rosewood veneer over a composite core, showing a striking linear grain across the top and sides. The rounded edges and deep profile are typical of late 20th century design, likely dating to the 1970s–1980s. The consistent grain wrapping and panel construction confirm veneered manufacture rather than solid timber.
Unsure of the exact age, but more than happy to help with any further questions.
Condition
In used vintage condition. Showing age and use with surface scratches, scuffs, and minor marks throughout. Some wear to the edges and corners, with small knocks visible in places. The top remains presentable with a good overall sheen but does have general marks as well as some water / heat marks as shown. Some chips to the veneer around the lower edges.
Would benefit from a good clean and polish, or ideal for refinishing
We have tried to capture all of these in the photos as best as possible, so please study these as a good indication of cosmetic condition.
