Loganberry 'Thornless'

Rubus × loganobaccus

4L Plant

  • Smooth thornless canes – a mutation of the traditional prickly loganberry, offering the same large, juicy fruit on smooth stems that won't scratch your hands
  • Sharp-sweet flavour – produces long, conical berries that are larger than raspberries with a tart, rich flavour, making them the ultimate choice for jams and pies
  • How to grow – thrives in moist, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Provide a support frame for the long canes and prune out those that have fruited in late autumn
  • Deciduous perennial – RHS H5 hardy, tolerates temperatures to approx. -15°C; drops foliage in winter and produces new growth when conditions improve
  • Garden-ready plant – one well‑rooted 4L pot‑grown specimen, securely packaged without its nursery pot and ready to plant into prepared ground when local conditions allow

Please note: our pictures illustrate a mature plant to inspire you with its full potential given time and the appropriate growing conditions. The plants you receive will be well-rooted to the specified size purchased and may look different depending on the time of year.

1) The plants are first removed from their plastic pot or cell tray. The roots are then submerged in water and wrapped in paper towel to ensure the plants have water on their journey.

2) After this, the plants are placed into biodegradable bags to retain the moisture and protect the outer packaging.

3) We then tightly roll the plants in a protective cardboard roll before placing them in their boxes for postage.
