Exceedingly scarce and highly collectible large original first printing Keith Jarrett promotional poster issued by Toshiba EMI in Japan in 1974 as part of their Jazz Right Now ’74 series. Back in the 1970s when America’s interest in modern jazz was waning, there remained continued enthusiasm in Japan. Over the following decades, much of the Blue Note catalogue would be reissued in Japan, through licensing agreements with local record manufacturers and distributors. Between 1966 and 1977, Blue Note titles were re-issued by Toshiba EMI. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 59.2 x 83.6 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 32.9″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock.
