1942 Lincoln Wheat Cent Proof graded PF64 RD by NGC.

This one has absolutely booming mirrors and strong contrast that honestly gives it a very cameo-like appearance in hand, even though NGC did not designate it CAM. The fields are flashy and reflective while Lincoln and the reverse lettering stand out nicely against them. Really attractive eye appeal for the grade.

1942 proof cents were struck during the middle of World War II, right before the famous 1943 steel cent transition. These early proof Lincolns have become increasingly popular because they combine classic Wheat Cent design with true old-school Mint proof quality.

The reverse especially has that “liquid mirror” look that makes proof copper so addictive. Abe out here looking like he knows copper prices are going to the moon in 80 years.
