This original, antique, Art Deco shoe shine stand by DURALITE HAND PAINTED PRODUCTS / Jos Rosen & Sons boasts a black color with a hand painted gold floral motif on both sides of the oval tin. There is ample storage space inside the remarkably clean interior. A cast iron shoe rest/foot rest adds to the vintage charm. Made in the United States during the 1940s, this item is a true piece of history and a great addition to any room.

The tin measures approximately 10" deep, 8" wide, and 9" tall. The hole opening is approximately 5" x 4 1/4".

The shoe shine tin exhibits normal wear and tear for a preowned item of this age. There are mars, marks, and scratches from regular use over the last approximately 85 years, which is to be expected. No obvious rust (at least to my eye, though there might be a little on the exterior bottom - please see pictures) and no visible dents. The original manufacturer’s sticker on the bottom has been removed. However, the gold floral design is completely intact and vibrant. Also, the inside of the tin is in super clean, basically pristine condition and would be great for additional storage at an entry, in a closet, or as part of your bathroom decor. It is a classy and practical accent piece. Or, use it for its original intended purpose - as a shoe shine box.
