For sale here is a beautiful, antique, early 20th century, octagonal shaped (8-sided), miniature size (~ 3.5” Tall), forest green, embossed green glass medicine or pharmaceutical bottle. The bottle is embossed with the initials J. B. L. vertically along one side and the letter “S” on the base. The bottle carried contents manufactured by Dr. J. B. LYNAS & SON based in LOGANSPORT, IND. It stands about 3.5 inches tall.

CONDITION: This antique bottle shows it’s age and exhibits imperfections, as it should. The wear and tear is considered part of its authenticity. That said, this bottle is a miniature beauty. There is a single chip in the rim; no other chips or cracks present. There are scratches, scuffs, and stains. At least one of these stains presents on the outside of the bottle in the form of a sticky residue. Haven’t tried to clean it, but might be removable. There are scattered blackish and brownish dirt-like stains throughout. Hard to tell if they originate inside the bottle or out. There is a type of crystallization residue inside the bottle. This shows through to the exterior glass, as well. Once again, no attempt has been made to clean the bottle’s interior, but it too might be removable. Some varied, textural inconsistencies on the glass surface of the bottle. Possible they were created when the bottle was first manufactured, or maybe they developed at a later time. No cork, just the open top. Please reference the pictures for a visual perspective. Overall, an eye-catching bottle in a deeply powerful shade of green that is in excellent condition considering it’s age - and which promises to be a dramatic addition to whatever room is lucky enough to have it.
