I can't seem to find anything about this. I did see one on eBay Germany as part of a set of 8 (1990 - 1997) but no info as to metal content, or anything else for that matter. If the series started in 1990 I suspect it was struck to celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the formal re-unification of Germany 1990. The legend translates to: "BERLIN TOWN HALL SEAT OF THE BERLIN SENATE".
1 9/16" / 40 mm. slightly larger than a US Silver Dollar. No indication as to metal content but appears to be Gold Plated.
