Perimeter-lighted Black dial with bold
White graphics, Black aluminum bezel, contoured White pointer and flat glass
lens.
Electronic tachometers work by
counting pulses generated by the ingition system, alternator, tach signal
generator or magnetic pickup sender. The tach is hooked up to +12VDC, Ground
and one of the signal sources listed above.
By selecting the right tach and
setting the switch on the back to the correct position you let the tachometer
know how many pulses are sent per each engine revolution.

Faria Beede Instruments, has been
manufacturing “World Class” Instrumentation in Uncasville, CT for more than 60
years (Established in 1956 as the Thomas G. Faria Corporation) and has grown
from a company that primarily produced tachometers for the marine and auto
industries into a company that today offers a multitude of analog and digital
engine monitoring instrumentation to a wide range of global market. In the
early 1960’s Faria Instruments started producing tachometers with the Ford
Motor Company. The first application was for the Comet Rally Pack and the
Falcon Sprint. Faria later designed and developed tachometers for the famed
Mustang and Shelby Cobra.
