Pretty vintage hand embroidered doily from Germany, ca. mid-century is made from linen.  It is embroidered with shiny white thread to create iris-like flowers, decorated with fine black stitches, and edged in lace.  This could also be used as a dresser scarf, since it is 21" x 13."  It has been used in the past, but was carefully stored for many years, and in good condition.  However, some of the black stitching has worn, as you can see in the photos. Please note, since this is linen, it does need to be ironed.
