This original piece is a special item that showcases the history of the sport and the player, making it a prized possession for collectors and fans of the Chicago White Sox.

A rock behind the plate during his 1930s-1940s playing days, Al Lopez soared to even greater heights as a manager.
From 1951-1956 this brilliant baseball lifer directed the Cleveland Indians, followed by a nine year tenure as skipper of
the Chicago White Sox from 1957-1965. Throughout his fifteen seasons as a full-time Major League manager, Lopez
never came close to having a losing season. Were it not for a huge hurdle known as the New York Yankees, Lopez
would have notched twelve World Series berths, instead of two. His time spent on the Southside of Chicago is recalled,
with this single-signed bat. Served up is a like-new Cooperstown Bat Co. Stadium Series bat, commemorating
Comiskey Park and the White Sox. Turned out in 1989, this bat is signed by Lopez on the barrel with ("8-9") potency.
Bats single-signed by Lopez are considered somewhat tough to come by, and given that the storied Hall of Fame player
and manager departed in 2005, bats signed by him are just going to get tougher and tougher. Auction LOA from JSA.
