This One of a kind, early 1900s (1905-1920) apothecary bottle (3 1/3" × 1 1/4"), features the original label for Oil of Erigeron (Fleabane), distributed by the iconic McKesson & Robbins of New York.
Key Features for Collectors:
Unique Glass Character: While the body is dark, the base and top seam are vivid cobalt blue. There is also a distinct, accidental "heart-shaped"cobalt spot on the shoulder, a rare manufacturing quirk from the early machine-age transition.
Maker's Mark: The bottom is clearly embossed with "D & O" for Dodge & Olcott, the oldest essential oil house in America, along with the mold number "5".
Condition: The label is remarkably intact and legible for its age.
The cork is in tact, and the original liquid is still full, however, the outer wrap is partially torn. (See photos) If you have questions feel free to message me.
